The main theme of the holiday is a towel as a symbol of national unity. The craftsmen of the Mogilev region presented almost 200 towels - all woven or embroidered by hand. A towel is a unique thing in the Belarusian culture. Expositions with the presentation of old and reconstructed towels were presented on three rows-streets of Minsk and the region. During the day, there were quizzes, contests, theatrical performances with the participation of creative groups, performances of amateur groups. All the guests of the holiday had the opportunity to get acquainted with the weaving art and unique cultural heritage - weavers on authentic looms of the XVIII-XIX centuries held master classes on making towels with patterns and embroidery.
